Eleni Demetriou, a successful, high-level financial analyst, has amassed experience in all aspects of fund management and investment-related trading. A graduate of Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, Eleni Demetriou spent seven years growing into management roles as a member of the Prudential Financial, Inc. liquidity asset management, fixed-income advising, and investment teams. In these positions, Eleni Demetriou focused on providing qualitative and quantitative financial analysis, executing trades utilizing a variety of financial vehicles, and at the same time devising new trading systems.
Shortly after taking a position in Chase Asset Management with Chase Manhattan Bank in 1997, Eleni Demetriou returned to school to attend Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. There Eleni Demetriou earned an MBA in Finance, along with a certificate in International Business. An exemplary student, Eleni Demetriou earned the honor of receiving the Stillman School of Business Leadership Award.
A key member of the Chase Asset Management team until 2001, Eleni Demetriou undertook technical roles of managing institutional, short-duration total return accounts; generating risk-adjusted return analysis; and executing cross-sector trades on behalf of Institutional, Mutual and Private bank accounts. Eleni Demetriou moved on to positions with JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2001, and with Merrill Lynch in 2004.
At Merrill Lynch, Eleni Demetriou served as Vice President of the Investor Strategy Group, advising global private investment clients on portfolio strategy, following relevant firm research and investment guidelines. The assets in the fixed-income portfolios Eleni Demetriou constructed averaged some $10 million. While with Merrill Lynch, Eleni Demetriou participated in the prestigious Global Markets Innovation Program, open only to candidates nominated by senior management. Throughout her twenty years in the New York financial world, Eleni Demetriou has developed and fostered close relationships with sources on Wall Street as a way of keeping apprised of market trends and achieving high-quality trade executions.
